A cosy dog-friendly cottage with hot tub close to Cemaes Bay
Tregynrig Bach is a lovely traditional farm Hideaway just a mile outside Cemaes Bay, a famous fishing village and the most northerly settlement in Wales. This rural dog-friendly holiday cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring some of Anglesey's most dramatic coastline and provides a cosy and welcoming retreat after a day of adventuring is complete.
Step in from outside into the welcoming entrance hallway and the lovely open plan living area where you will immediately feel at home. Relax on comfy sofas clustered around the big wood-burning stove and sit down to enjoy meals at the dining table with seating for eight. There is a separate modern kitchen area, well-equipped for when you want to cook at home, and a handy utility room is located off the entrance hall.
Tregynrig Bach has four bedrooms, the first of which, a double room, is on the ground floor. Upstairs are three further bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite shower room and a family bathroom.
The enclosed garden has an outside dining area and a hot tub with views over the surrounding countryside.
Head off across the coastal road and down a winding country lane, and you will shortly arrive at Porthwen, a beautiful and much-photographed cove. The stretch of Anglesey coastal path towards Llanbadrig and Cemaes Bay has some incredible views, and you'll have a good chance of spotting dolphins or porpoises. Carry on into Cemaes, and you'll come to the Gadlys Hotel, a favourite spot for a bite to eat or a drink in the sun before continuing down the path to the sandy beaches. Or buy freshly cooked fish and chips from Y Wygyr to eat sitting along the harbour wall.
A little further afield, birdwatchers will enjoy spending time at Cemlyn Bay, a wildlife haven part of which is a special protection area (SPA) for terns and other wildlife. Heading east from Cemaes Bay, the historic port of Amlwch is a short drive away, and you can access some wonderful sandy beaches which stretch their way down the east coast of the island. Heading west takes you towards Church Bay and South Stack with its iconic lighthouse and visitor centre and towering cliffs, which teem with seabirds.
