Heulfre is a perfectly located holiday cottage on the outskirts of the historical village of Beaumaris. A conveniently located Bolthole for four, and an ideal base to establish yourselves, offering the essentials for your stay at a reasonable price.

Within walking distance of all that Beaumaris has to offer. This popular coastal town mixes with history with stunning sea views and with plenty of modern easy-going restaurants and a wealth of independent shops, there is plenty to enjoy nearby. There is no need to stock the car either as supermarkets deliver and local butchers, delis and greengrocers are at your beck and call. The island of Anglesey is a wonderful area to explore - pack up a picnic and head off on a journey of discovery.

Dating from the 18th century, Heulfre is presented over three floors. The ground floor consists of a separate lounge and dining area, both rooms seating four people comfortably. The modern kitchen offers an under-counter fridge and a very small freezer, plus a dishwasher.

The back door from the kitchen leads onto a private tiered garden which is also enclosed to keep your furry friends happy and tails wagging safely (note: the top garden/patio is accessed up steps). Plump up a cushion and sit back and relax in the garden and watch out for the red squirrels and birds galore, immersing yourself in the wildlife-friendly Anglesey.

Climb the stairs to the first floor where off the landing, are two bedrooms. One a good-sized single room overlooks the garden aspect at the rear of Heulfre and the main double bedroom is situated at the front of the property, both awaiting sleepy heads. One step up from the landing is the family bathroom where you can run a bath and soak away the day, or shower quickly, ready for adventures ahead.

On the top floor of the property, nestled away from all the rest, is a further double bedroom and a drey of your own where squirrelled away books can finally be enjoyed. The staircase leading to this room is slightly steeper and narrower here than the main stairs.

Explorers, ready yourselves for sea views, wonderful beaches, miles of coastal path and mountains too. Snowdonia is within easy reach with Zip World or Bounce Below perfect adrenalin seekers and mountains for keen hikers and bikers. Whizz along the Menai Strait and discover on Velocity - fast and exhilarating. For those who wish for a calmer journey along our shores, book time with Psyched Paddleboarding. Wildlife tours, coastal walks, Green Lane Bike Tours, wonderful gardens and historical sites, the list is endless.

Thanks for a great stay. The house was perfect. Loads of space and very comfy beds. We had extraordinarily hot weather and struggled to sit in the garden after about 10 am! It's so sheltered and such a sun trap, maybe a sun umbrella would be helpful. We loved: Cycling to Penmon via quiet lanes for drinks at the Pilot cafe. Quirky arty shops in Beaumaris and the market on Sunday. Cycling from Llangefni to Newborough beach on the flat cycleway - the beach and forest are stunning. The Midland Tapas. Cocktails on the terrace at the Bulkley Hotel. Puffins and seals on our boat trip. Still swimming in the sea at 7 pm. Hoping to return soon.

We had a lovely stay at Heulfre thank you! It was our first time sailing at the Menai Strait Regattas post covid, and the first since we lost our father who used to helm our boat, so an extra meaningful year for us. Please thank our hosts for the selection of coffee, tea and Welsh cakes that were left out for us, it was a welcome sight to check in to after a day on the water. We were so lucky with the warm weather and the garden was a great sun trap!
